8 spots remain in the 2016 Halifax Choral Conducting Institute, July 25-29, 2016!

Location: Pennsylvania, USA
I write to invite you to the upcoming Halifax Choral Conducting Institute - July 25th-29th, 2016! Now in its fourth year, the HCCI attracts participants from across North America for a week of intensive choral conducting study in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
In 2016, the HCCI welcomes Dr. John William Trotter (Wheaton College) and Dr. Vicki St. Pierre (Mount Allison University) as guest clinicians.
The HCCI approaches choral conducting from a practical and collaborative perspective. Sessions investigate vocal pedagogy, rehearsal technique, gesture, and musicianship through Dalcroze Eurhythmics. Podium time is balanced with lectures, group discussion, and informal networking opportunities. All conducting participants also join to sing in the HCCI Chorus.
This summer, the HCCI offers two streams: Option A and B. Option A is open to all level of choral conductors, including those who are new to choral conducting (Registration closes May 1, 2016). Option B is open to intermediate/advanced choral conductors with prior choral conducting experience (Admission is competitive. Applications are now open and will be reviewed as received. A limited number of conductors may participate in Option B. Please apply early.).
As of January 15, only 8 spots remain in the Option B masterclass!
