Is it important to learn to connect in whistle voice

Hello everyone i am knew to the forum.
My question is:
Is it important to learn to connect whistle voice in order to develop the mix voice to its full potential?
I have seen many great singers who can sing whistle and the truth is I DONT like it and probably will never use it in singing.
Still is it important to learn connecting to it in order do develop the voice fuller- like singing low notes to develop the range.

No. There are plenty of very fine female singers who do not use the whistle register. Primarily these are altos, mezzos and larger voiced sopranos. However, if you are a lighter soprano you might find it helpful for range purposes - but not for developing the "mixed voice."
