Are others having problems connecting to ChoralNet?

In the last month or so, my ability to connect to ChoralNet has been erratic. I have no problems at all connecting to any other website. I have several different PCs, and have tried different browsers, all of which behave the same. Is ChoralNet having server problems?

I've had the same problem for the same period. I have to refresh for the site to load and that doesn't always work. Any ideas?

I haven't seen any problems like that, James, and I visit almost every day. ChoralNet's Manager occasionally makes updates to the underlying code that operates the site, and I think one such change was made about a month ago, which could either be related, or just coincidental. Hopefully, he'll see this topic and add some words of wisdom. :-)

I have had that problems for at least two years on my home computer. I just purchased a new laptop today and still cannot access choralnet. I can only access it on my cell phone and at work on a 10 year old computer.

James, Bruce, and Matthew -- I've accessed from many kinds of computers with at least four different browsers (IE, FireFox, Chrome, Safari) and multiple versions of each of those. What is needed from each of you are very specific details about the problems you're experiencing (error messages, etc.) and details about your computers and the browsers you're using (the browser info is probably the most important). It's possible that one or more of you have some third-party "privacy" or "security" software that's disabling the javascript on your computers, and I think that a lot of javascript is used here. You'd want to try accessing the site using a "cleaner" browser such as Google Chrome, but with any Internet "protection" software turned off, as that's a very likely explanation.

Just to chime in, I too have had a few times when Choralnet was inaccessible for long periods.  Not often; last time August 6 around 5 pm est.

Yesterday it was impossible also for me to log in.
I was using a netbook I got recently from a friend, and I found out that the browser (SeaMonkey, a Firefox-derivative, under Puppy Linux) was set with the "no-track" option (i. e., it asked not to be tracked by the visited sites) in the Privacy and Security section.
Simply by unchecking this option I could log in normally. Whoa! ;°))
