Brooklyn Schiller Institute Community Chorus

Category: Community Choirs
Voicing: Mixed
Location: Brooklyn, New York, USA
Following a successful and transformative performance of Handel's Messiah in Brooklyn in December http://schillerinstitute.org/highlite/2015/1219-nyc-messiah/main.html , the Schiller Institute has decided to embark on the exciting prospect of starting our Brooklyn chorus.  We will focus on the works of Mozart, Verdi, Handel, spirituals, and American Patriotic songs.

All voice types are welcome! We will meet Wednesdays in the Red Hook area 7-8:30pm. Amateurs and professionals alike are welcome! As Friedrich Schiller identified, "It is through beauty that one proceeds to freedom." Helga Zepp-LaRouche, wife of economist Lyndon LaRouche, founded the Schiller Institute over 30 years ago to fight for the beauty of mankind.

All rehearsals and concerts are done at the Verdi scientific tuning of A=432 Hz.
